"Our research starts with protecting the health of the people we love. Penguin Cosmeceutical isn't just developing products — we're passing on a way of taking life seriously."
After becoming a pharmacist, the question I got asked most often wasn't "does this actually work?" It was:
"Would you take this yourself?"
It was an ordinary evening. The shop was about to close and I was tidying up near the entrance. A customer had been standing there for a while, holding a few B-complex supplements, voice quiet and careful:
"My dad was just hospitalized. He's been weak since the surgery. I'm not sure what to pick."
I didn't rush to answer. Instead, I asked a few questions first — why was the surgery needed? How's his appetite been? How is he mentally? Are there any medications or test results we need to work around?
And in that moment, I realized something. In his eyes, this wasn't a sales transaction. He was trusting me to make a judgment call on his behalf. And whatever I recommended would end up on the small table in that hospital room — a small bit of order and comfort for a family in one of their most vulnerable moments.
As a pharmacist, I understand why people trust "fast-acting" solutions. When something feels wrong, you take something — and if the symptoms ease up, there's relief in that. Medication, when it's needed, is a powerful and important tool. But the longer I've worked in pharmacy, the clearer something else has become: the things that really determine your long-term health aren't the pills that work overnight — they're the small choices you make every single day. Sleep, food, stress, gut health, nutritional foundations — that's the scaffolding that holds a person up. And because we deal with both medication and supplement needs on the front line, I was never willing to turn supplements into a vehicle for exaggerated promises. They're not a replacement for medicine, and they're not magic. Their real value is in helping your body stay more stable day-to-day — so you're not always waiting until something goes wrong to start paying attention.
Over the years, I've traveled internationally quite a bit — including working with our Korean partners on ingredient specifications and batch consistency. What I've come to know for certain is this: the more developed the market, the less impressed people are by flashy claims. What they care about is ingredient traceability, consistent specs, stable batches, and whether you're honest about what you can't guarantee. That habit of "saying it straight and backing it up with data" became the foundational standard for how we develop every product — because what you're supplementing is your daily life, and what you're holding is someone's trust. That's also why we established PQ Labs as the dedicated health supplement brand under Penguin Cosmeceutical — so the same rigorous standard can be clearly applied to every formulation and every product line.
The longer I've been in this work, the more my understanding of "product" has shifted. A lot of people assume pharmacists are just salespeople — but the more I do this, the more certain I am: every product should address a specific life situation and a real need. Supplements shouldn't just be packaging, marketing, and trending buzzwords. They should be something people can rely on as a long-term daily solution. Our goal isn't to out-talk everyone else. It's to be the ones willing to explain every detail clearly and get every step right.
That's why Penguin Cosmeceutical has always held to one principle in everything we develop:
Every product has to pass the test of: "Would I give this to my family? Would I take it myself?"
When it comes to ingredients, our standard isn't "is it a big name?" — it's whether the source is transparent, the specs are consistent, and quality is stable batch after batch.
When it comes to formulation, we're not trying to look impressive by piling in ingredients. We ask: is this reasonable? Is it suitable for everyday use? Will it actually help people maintain a more stable baseline?
To help you find what fits your life, PQ Labs organizes its products into three lines — not to look organized, but because different people are dealing with different pressures and different needs:
AURA Series | Glow from WithinFor maintaining your radiance and confidence in everyday life. When your body is in balance, it shows on the outside. And this isn't just for women — men equally benefit from an inside-out reset that makes you look cleaner, sharper, more alive.
NEXT Series | Level Up Your PerformanceFor the late nights, the packed schedules, the social commitments, and the high-output days. Stay sharp, grounded, and in control — even when life is running at full speed.
BALANCE Series | Metabolism & Natural BalanceStarting from gut health and daily rhythm, helping your body find a more comfortable and sustainable state — one that actually lasts.
We know trust isn't built from a single paragraph. Trust comes from the experience of using something again and again, from choosing to come back, from feeling confident enough to recommend it to someone you care about.
So we keep moving forward the same way we always have:
In the name of expertise — no exaggeration, no shortcuts. Earning every ounce of trust, and being accountable to every person who puts their family's wellbeing in our hands.
Thank you for trusting Penguin Cosmeceutical with your daily life.
Our development pace is intentionally unhurried — because we treat every product we create as a serious exercise in respecting life.
